What's changed in My Shows V2, newest first.
October 25, 2026Version 2.6.3
Easier to find
- The site now has a sitemap for search engines, and the main page has a short description for search results.
October 25, 2026Version 2.6.2
"About My Shows" opens the README
- The link at the bottom of the main screen now opens the My Shows README on GitHub in a new tab, as in V1. The guide is still in Settings.
October 25, 2026Version 2.6.1
Guide link under your list
- "About My Shows & how to use" is back at the bottom of the main screen, as in V1. It opens the guide.
October 25, 2026Version 2.6.0
Watching split into two sections
- Watching now has two headings, like Waiting: Currently running shows and Ended shows I'm binging.
- A series is under "Ended" once TVmaze lists it as ended; everything else, including shows waiting to hear about renewal, is under "Currently running". Shows move between them on their own.
- The order inside each section is unchanged, and the Watching count covers both.
October 25, 2026Version 2.5.0
Current shows first, then series you're finishing
- Watching now lists shows still in production first, the one with the most recently released episode at the top.
- Series that have ended, which you're still working through, come after. Marking an episode watched moves that show to the bottom, so the others work their way back up in turn.
- Replaces the 2.4.0 order.
October 25, 2026Version 2.4.0
New episodes first in Watching
- Watching now lists shows with just one episode waiting (a newly released episode of a show you're caught up on) at the top, most recently aired first.
- Shows with several episodes waiting follow. Among those, a newly added show goes to the top and a show you've just marked watched moves to the bottom, as before.
October 25, 2026Version 2.3.0
Start V2 from a V1 backup
- A My Shows V1 backup file can now be restored into V2: Settings › Backup & restore › Choose backup file. Your shows, progress and suspended shows come across.
- As with any restore, it replaces your whole V2 list (after you confirm), on all your devices.
- Shows that can't be imported — ones with no "Watching on" platform (now required), or saved by a much older version of V1 — are left out and listed afterwards with the reason, so you can add them again.
October 25, 2026Version 2.2.0
Previous and Next episode
- A show's detail screen now has Previous episode and Next episode buttons. Previous moves your place back one episode (handy for undoing an accidental "Mark watched"); Next skips forward one episode without watching it.
- The show moves to the right group automatically, the change syncs to your other devices, and a confirmation shows where you're now up to.
- The buttons aren't shown for suspended shows; reactivate a show first.
October 25, 2026Version 2.1.1
Clearer choices when adding a show
- The "Where are you up to?" choices are now Starting, Season/Episode last watched and Caught Up. Caught Up is still the default.
October 25, 2026Version 2.1.0
Easier adding, clearer confirmation
- "Watching on" is now required when adding a show.
- New "Where are you up to?" choice when adding: Caught up on everything that's aired (the default), Not started, or Partway with the season and episode. Caught up marks every aired episode as watched, so a show waiting for its next season goes straight to Waiting, and a finished series goes to Done.
- After adding, the confirmation is larger and stays up longer, and the new show is highlighted in the group it landed in. If its episode details can't be loaded, the confirmation says so.
- The version number now shows under "My Shows"; tap it to open this changelog.
October 25, 2026Version 2.0.0Initial release
My Shows V2 at v2.myshows.fyi
- A separate app from My Shows V1 (myshows.fyi), which keeps working unchanged. Lists don't carry over from V1.
- Automatic sync across your devices: your list is kept in your own secret GitHub Gist, created for you the first time you connect with a GitHub token.
- Changes are saved on the device immediately and reach your gist about two seconds later; switching back to the app picks up changes made on your other devices.
- The main screen shows one group at a time — Watching, Waiting or Done — with a count on each.
- Waiting is split into "Waiting for next episode or season" and "Suspended". Done now holds only series that have ended and been watched in full.
- Search your own list from the main screen, across every group.
- New bottom bar: Show, Add Show and Settings. Backup & restore, sync, the guide and this changelog are in Settings.
- After adding a show you're taken to the group it landed in.
- Sync status is always visible at the top right, with clear fixes for an expired token or a deleted gist.
